One of the most well known event in Budapest the Island Festival (Sziget). This one week event, which has been organised in each and every August for 13 years, has become the biggest multicultural festival in Central Europe by now.

The event comprising a daily 150-200 programmes, organised on more than 60 locations, entertains altogether about 400 thousand visitors during the seven days.

Visitors, who arrive to the festival from all countries of Europe and several continents of the world, can choose from an exceptionally wide range of cultural, entertaining programmes: all genres of music, theatre performances, fine arts, literature, cinema, fashion and many sports.
